1. File Transfers & Data Storage
FileBhejo operates on a strict peer-to-peer (P2P) architecture. We do not upload, host, view, or store the files you transfer. Your files are sent directly from your device to the receiver's device using WebRTC. All data in transit is encrypted natively by your browser.
2. Signaling Server
To connect the sender and receiver, we use an open-source PeerJS signaling server. This server only briefly processes IP addresses to establish the initial "handshake." It cannot see the contents of your files, and connection logs are routinely purged.
3. Local Browser Storage (OPFS)
When receiving large files, FileBhejo utilizes your browser's Origin Private File System (OPFS) to temporarily cache the data on your physical device. This data remains on your device and is not accessible by us. This temporary data is automatically cleared when you click "Start New Transfer."
4. Advertising and Cookies (AdSense Compliance)
To keep FileBhejo 100% free, we use third-party advertising companies, including Google, to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
